The High Country Training Academy is located on the Lone Tree Campus of Coconino Community College in Flagstaff, Arizona.  The High Country Training Academy (HCTA) is an Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZPOST) accredited basic training academy serving the State of Arizona.

 

 

 
Mission Statement
Building relationships by being transparent to the community we serve and always striving to be the pinnacle law enforcement training academy in Arizona.  
 
Basic Training
Our Academy Class is a 22-week program that covers the basic police curriculum and additional training to bring the program to 800+ training hours.
 
Direction
The HCTA is designed to introduce recruits to the law enforcement profession.  On-the-job training is long and both mentally and physically demanding.  Teamwork and collaboration will be strongly emphasized throughout the training process.
 
Academy Instruction
Instructors at HCTA are AZPOST Certified General Instructors, Proficiency and or Specialist Instructors.
